The short answer to the question as to why Tim Tebow is so popular is: because Christians are shut out of the mainstream, and yet many of us know that Christianity holds the solution to the ills of this nation and personal lives.
 
Therefore we feel a frustration as to how we can get the mainstream to see that. I’ve responded to that frustration by writing books, making DVD’s, doing public speaking, making CD’s, and being in the media. But it has been very difficult to get a lot of attention because of the walking on eggshells climate in the mainstream regarding religion.
 
What makes it extra frustrating is knowing that Christianity has been shut out of the mainstream because of a false mandate … the separation of church and state. Supreme Court Chief Justice William Rehnquist in official opinions wrote this about that phrase: “Using the phrase ‘separation of Church and state’ is actually a mischievous diversion from the actual intention of the founding fathers, and use of that term should be explicitly abandoned.”
 
So, some of the energy of this frustration is grounded when Tim Tebow unashamedly in a large mainstream forum makes known that his #1 priority is Christianity. And now we see an outpouring of others who feel the same way. Here is a verse that Tim Tebow has painted under his eyes during a game. (Jesus said) “If anyone is ashamed of me and my words in this adulterous and sinful generation, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when he comes in his Father’s glory with the holy angels” Mark 8:38.
 
But another possibility here is: is divine intervention involved in the miraculous wins that Tebow is orchestrating? It’s almost like with Denver losing the game in the 4th quarter, God says that He is not going to let His faithful servant not shine and give Him glory. And less than stellar statistics are overcome in this repeated scenario with victories.
 
Then these miraculous comebacks leave the mainstream media scrambling for alternate explanations. They try to attribute the wins to the defense and other offensive players. But there is something that they are overlooking in that assessment: all of those same players were around when the team had one win and four losses. Now they’ve since gained six wins and one loss. And the ONLY difference during that losing and winning period is Tim Tebow.

The truth is: Morgan Freeman is racist and part of “the weak, dark
underside of America.”

That is, what is racism? It’s viewing things in racial terms instead of seeing them directly. Therefore, Morgan Freeman is racist. Racism is also seeing the color of a person’s skin instead of seeing the person.

And “the weak, dark underside of America” is liberals, who spew this mental and emotional garbage and divide the country and add to “disturbing the peace.” M.F. needs to stick to acting (which I now even view him differently in regards to that, knowing what is in his heart and mind).

The Tea Party is a force for good in this country. Too bad people like M.F. are blinded by their liberal worldview and can’t see that. And how does he respond to the fact that the Tea Party’s favorite candidate right now is black (Herman Cain)?

How ironic. I hope that this point is continually pointed out in the upcoming elections. And it’s not just Obama who has led this country down this dark economic path, it is all of the democrats who vote as a block. We need to stop this slide while it is still stopable (unlike in other countries where it got out of hand). And that means the upcoming elections.

In the meantime, it’s very simple. The American public made a big mistake in 2008. This administration and congress have severely hurt this country, both socially and economically. The American public saw this error and started to correct that mistake in last year’s election and will hopefully finish the job in 2012. Therefore the Republicans (and most especially the Tea Party Republicans) have no reason to compromise, nor should they compromise if they are going to follow the will of the people.

The Vox Populi was heard in 2010. And an expression of that voice is that we should not be a country of redistribution but rather one of opportunity created by entrepreneurial efforts (a process that Democrats don’t understand). Therefore the government should not get in the way of that by putting undue burden on businesses or the national economy. And one way that it does that is by giving handouts without compensation by the recipients. But that is fixable.

So then, given all three of these scenarios (the real one and the two analogies), which ones are the more appealing … the nice ones or the brazen ones? Well the telling difference in appeal between them is the fact that 2 BILLION people tuned into the wedding.

I wish that the entertainment industries would get the fact that love, peace, niceness, reverence and beauty are more innately appealing and pleasurable than violence, lust, hyperness and sensationalism. It’s better to be nice than to be shocked. I don’t even watch TV dramas or violent movies because I don’t like to see human beings hurting other human beings. If the problem is with the public, I wish then that they would get it too.

Ultimately, the good things that I mentioned are also better for the health, happiness and social statistics of the country. Maybe you had to grow up in the 1950′s (like I did) to know the greater pleasure of the positive things that I mentioned. But you didn’t have to grow up in the 1950′s to read the difference in social statistics between then and now, or feel the beauty in the feelings of a lot of the TV shows, movies and music of the 1950′s and early 1960′s.

So obviously a “glamorous”, rich lifestyle in the spotlight and making sex tapes doesn’t make a person happy. And for good reason. People who live that lifestyle and are in the spotlight are actually hurting the culture by being bad role models. And nature and nature’s creator is not happy about that. Therefore, nature’s feedback is: create unhappiness in people who live like that and who allow themselves to be in the spotlight, having their sinful lifestyle glorified.

And from a 10 Commandments point of view, they are setting themselves up as “false idols” and therefore supplanting God in the culture. That, I would presume, would even bring a more intense experiential judgment on themselves, which is one reason why many of them die from overdose. There aren’t enough drugs to bury the guilt from that sin. And the attempts of Paris, and others like her, to get rid of that guilt or any other feeling that might stifle their chosen lifestyle is to try to sweep them under a drug. But that approach ultimately doesn’t work, as evidenced by the fact that even though she and Lindsay Lohan are faced with more jail time that they tearfully dread, they still are caught with more drugs.

So, what’s the solution here? Well, we all (including Paris and Lindsay) just want to be happy and not be unhappy. So then how can Paris be happy and not unhappy? By living the life of a natural, Godly woman. A paradox of this life is that happiness comes from submitting our lives to goodness instead of running it ourselves or submitting to bad role models or peers. That allows the One who has control over our feelings to infuse positive feelings into us. That is a great piece of wisdom … which is why the Bible tells us that we should pursue wisdom at the expense of all that we have.

Therefore, if we care about our kids and our fellow citizens, we don’t want to make the temptations and access to drugs easy. We want to make it hard. We don’t want to make paths that will lead to God’s harsh feedback rosy. And preventing that starts with laws and what’s allowed in the culture … which starts with electing politicians who understand all of this. It also is good to fight back when the media belittles the good morals of people like Christine O’Donnell.

I spoke at a state prison last night, and many were there … even for decades … just because of one time of bad judgment, which statistics say was often aided by drugs or alcohol. Now for the prisoners, one short moment of following a bad impulse has turned into decades of suffering, not only for the perpetrator but also for the victim(s). That’s just one reason why our laws and culture should not make those situations or anything that leads to them easy. Therefore elections should not just be “about the economy.” They should also be about values.

And I add to that: her values are my values … Biblical values. And those are what I want to see represented in government more than anything else.

Well, most of the mainstream media doesn’t stand for normal or Biblical values. But because those are THE good and functional ways of nature, they can’t respond intelligently. So they just mock with empty insults.

“Blessed are they who do not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But their delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law they meditate day and night.” Psalm 1:1-2

And here is a key point. A country that has so many dysfunctional relationships and addictions can ill-afford to mock. They should be listening to the people who have found solutions on how to have inner peace and ways to make marriages and families work.

Therefore, this should be of particular interest in politics because POLItics (and therefore POLIcies) emanate out of the VALUES of people.

It is also good to note that Christine and Sarah are tremendously liked, yet neither of them has had to try to appeal with lewdness, boisterousness, insults, or being scantily dressed. In fact, it’s the fact that they don’t do those things that makes them appealing. And their great smiles show an inner happiness. (So it would be good for women to recognize that if they want a lot of love and bonding and making a strong, stable family with a normal, stable man, and support for how they give their bodies and hearts in pregnancy … they should recognize the amount of adoration that Sarah and Christine get without being “worldly.” In fact they stand against worldliness, which makes them all the more appealing.)

But now, with the results of the last presidential and congressional election giving the final word to the democrats in every branch of federal government, a great flaw in our political system is exposed. That is, where is the representation for the 48% of the population who voted for McCain/Palin? Fair representation would dictate that final says should have 48% Republican influence and 52% democrat influence. (But there is even a flaw built into that … how many of those who voted for democrats were hoodwinked by a liberal media who was selective in their reporting by inventing small gaffs for Palin [clothes, Africa, etc.] and not putting a spotlight on the unbelievably large gaffs by Obama [57 out of 58 states] or Biden [FDR on TV in 1929]). Like Sean Hannity says, “Journalism is dead in this country.”

But in the music business we say that you have to “play the room.” And “the room” in this country is the political system that we are in. Therefore we must try to make progress within that system. And a groundswell is alive and energized now with the Tea Party. And hopefully the current revolution towards good economic function will expand to include a revolution towards good moral function. (See my article next week as to how that can be done.) And maybe this needs to be focused on NOW, so that attacks against Christine O’Donnell’s moral values can be proven to be wrong and that her values, even her leadership in moral areas, is good, and therefore she should be elected.

The only conclusion that can be drawn is that the 97% identify more with the color of their skin than with their Christian heritage. But another surprising aspect of this is that when “African-American” voices turn out to be conservative (and who are far more qualified and intellectually mature than Obama to be President), they aren’t supported by the “African-American” community. (I keep putting African-American in quotes because it is a divisive term that I can’t acknowledge. Either a person is an American or not. And I find it hard to say “black” because they aren’t black.) And there is little recognition that Republicans and Republican administrations see to it that “African-Americans” are given high posts. That shows that race has little to do with the push for “African-Americans” to be in office. In fact, “African-Americans” are being USED by liberal activists, who obviously don’t care about what happens in the “African-American” communities, given how far they’ve gone down morally, spiritually and economically since they’ve gone under the liberal wing.

The bottom line here is: no matter how someone might want to argue against what is being said here, statistics don’t lie and can’t be argued against. And the 97% statistic says that skin color was given a higher priority than good Christian values. Another way of saying that is: history (as in saying that Obama’s election was an historical event) was given a higher priority than what is needed in the present.

I think that a key thing that could help return this nation to sanity and good function (on nature’s terms, not liberal ones) is for “African-Americans” to recognize that the liberal mentality has actually hurt their race (in general) and this nation, and identify with the Christian roots that once made their lives more filled with love and respect and good order.

The reason why this insanity is going on and the REAL problems are going unaddressed or given a low priority is because: the mainstream of the west won’t acknowledge and place a high priority on the ONLY solution to all of the above problems and suffering that people are going through … which is: acceptance of and obedience to all that is in the Bible.

How surprisingly arrogant these tiny beings bound for death are, given that ignoring their creator could end disastrously for them.

So, the mainstream misses the REAL drama that is going on and substitutes the drama feeling with fiction. Where is the intelligence in this country? Why aren’t more people clamoring about this? The Bible predicts this though, saying: “Claiming to be wise, they became fools” Romans 1:22.
